A more detailed biography

Being born at the beginning of WWII, when Denmark was invaded by Germany, there were few toys available for children. I was given color pencils, which was more than enough to keep me busy and content. I added my own illustrations to the children's book I was given.
My parents had many books. I discovered that many of these books had some white pages in the front of the book. I would carefully remove these pages that provided surfaces for my scribblings. I loved painting and drawing, an activity I would continue after the family emigrated to Argentina, when I was 7 years old. When my Argentine school in the province of Córdoba held a drawing competition, where the subject matter was San Martin (the Argentine hero and liberator) cossing the Andes, I participated with enthusiasm, winning the school competition.
The drawing was to be displayed at Cordoba's Museo de Bellas Artes for some time, together with the winning entries from other schools.
At the age of 16 I dropped out of High School, and began working full time, while taking night courses in electronics. In 1960 I got work on a Norwegian ship for the duration of the ships voyage to Hamburg. I began a Engineering study in Denmark, graduating in 1964.
In 1966 I emigrated to the USA where i worked as a Engineer. It was in 1973 that my interest in art was awoken again. I've described this elsewhere in this blog.
